FFWD launches season four and highlights regional industry

DUBAI, September 16, 2014

Fashion Forward (FFWD), a fashion platform in the Middle East, continues to showcase the region's fashion industry’s best to a global audience, in which 23 designers will present their latest collections during its Fourth Season this October.

FFWD is the only fashion platform to solely represent the Middle Eastern design talent, and with the fourth edition, the movement has become a motivation to the growing success and international visibility of the regional industry.

FFWD runways will showcase the designs of its participants from October 4th to 6th  at the Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, UAE.

Season Four presents the strongest line-up of designers to date, welcoming back stand-out names from its first three seasons and debuting talents that are new to the platform, but well established in the region.

Bong Guerrero, founder and CEO of Fashion Forward, said: “The considerable traction we have made since our inception little over a year and a half ago has been phenomenal. It validates the vision we had and the need we identified fora unifying platform upon which to showcase the design talent of this region. Being able to offer visibility to these designers not only to their peers in the local and regional fashion communities, but also to an international audience, means we are succeeding in our mission to create a regional fashion eco-system which resonates globally.”

For Season Four, FFWD has partnered with WGSN and Fashion GPS to further engage the global fashion community. All FFWD catwalk show imagery will be displayed on the WGSN portal, facilitating international trend reporting from the Middle East. The designers’ runway images will also be uploaded to Fashion GPS' exclusive industry-only community, GPS Radar.

In addition to the catwalk designers, also returning for Season Four will be The Garden, the retail space for accessory designers to showcase their collections to buyers and guests throughout the event. This season The Garden will house over 50 accessories designers from across the region. Guests will once again be able to browse and purchase fashion accessories and jewellery directly from selected regional designers in personalised retail spaces.

FFWD continues to build upon its strategic partnership with Dubai Design District (d3) who has supported the fashion platform since its inception in April 2013. With d3’s focus and vision on nurturing regional design talent across diverse sectors, as well as becoming the centre of Dubai’s creative community, their valuable support bolsters and solidifies FFWD’s mission to showcase the finest design talent across the Middle East. – TradeArabia News Service
