Elecrama appoints new Mideast director

DUBAI, July 22, 2015

Elecrama 2016, a leading trade and networking forum for the electricity industry, has appointed UAE national Heba Al Mansoori as the director for the forum's promotional and business development activities across the Middle East region.

A renowned figure in the media and communications field in the region, Al Mansoori, with over 15 years of experience in print and broadcast media and marketing in the region, is a published author and founder and chief executive officer of leading marketing communications agency Biz Com, said a statement.

Al Mansoori will lead a range of promotional initiatives across the Middle East region in order to increase awareness among leading players in the regional electricity industry, suppliers and manufacturers of transmission and distribution equipment about the tremendous business opportunities that exist in the fast-growing Indian market.

According to industry estimates, India is currently the third largest producer of electricity in the world and is expected to add a whopping 700 GW of capacity by 2030.

The electrical industry in India is expected to be valued at $250 billion by 2030, it said.

Elecrama 2016 will be held in February next year at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre and attract the who's who of the electricity industry, said the statement.

Al Mansoori and her team will undertake a series of roadshows in all the GCC countries targeted at gaining the interest of regional electrical suppliers, industry professionals, investors, government officials and media, said the statement.
