Yanni...set to captivate UAE audiences

Yanni to perform in Sharjah

SHARJAH, August 5, 2015

Legendary musical genius Yanni is set to captivate audiences in the UAE as he returns this November for an enchanting performance at Sharjah’s Al Majaz Amphitheatre.

The concert is part of the Al Majaz Amphitheatre’s aim to support the artistic and cultural movement in the Emirate and provide quality entertainment with a purpose to the public.

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, chairman of Sharjah Media Centre (SMC), said: "Sharjah has always celebrated and fostered an understanding of art, culture and literature, and we once again look forward to encouraging a new renaissance of music and culture by attracting the most accomplished artists and popular musicians from around the world."

Sheikh Sultan expressed confidence that the performance by Yanni, who has performed at some of the most iconic locations and venues around the world, such as Taj Mahal, Acropolis and Royal Albert Hall, would be a perfect start to such presentations at Al Majaz Amphitheatre.

Yanni began his artistic journey at a young age.  A self-taught prodigy, he has grown into a global legend with 40 albums to his credit and has sold more than 25 million copies worldwide, inspiring generations of young artists and musicians.

Yanni’s talent knows no boundaries and his music knows no borders.  Through his music, he has championed peace, tolerance and universal brotherhood. For over two decades, Yanni has been one of the top global touring acts seen by over 5 million people and his music has reached more than 2 billion people around the world.

He is the only Western artist to have performed next to the iconic Taj Mahal in India and the Forbidden City in China. The combined audience in India and China touched 250 million people. These performances were part of a global tour of 160 cities and were included in the album called ‘Homage’, which won him numerous awards.

Taking place on November 6, the tickets for Yanni’s historic Al Majaz Amphitheatre concert are available through Ticketmaster, www.ticketmaster.ae, and in selected outlets of Jacky’s Electronics and Carrefour.  Tickets can also be booked by calling on 80086823.  – TradeArabia news Service
