Kooora, a leading sports platform in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region, said that it has entered into a media partnership with BC Bendoni Consulting, a Dubai-based strategic communication and event consultancy.

BE Bendoni Consulting is the group behind Globe Soccer Awards, an annual football award event which takes place in Dubai every December.

As part of the partnership, the seventh edition of the awards ceremony can now be accessed by fans globally via the Kooora platform, said a statement from Kooora.

The partnership will also mark a historical milestone with the introduction of the ‘Best GCC Football Player’ award, which will be voted for via the digital platforms of Kooora and Globe Soccer, it said.

This year’s awards ceremony will be hosted in the final week of December, at the Madinat Jumeirah Resort in Dubai, UAE.

At last year’s event Real Madrid’s top player Cristiano Ronaldo won the award for Best Player of 2014, among other accolades.

This year’s event which will feature a two-day conference and gala dinner, and will also host prominent international football stars, officials and directors.

In previous years, Globe Soccer Awards had gathered a big list of sports names in football such as: Michel Platini, Cristiano Ronaldo, James Rodrigez, Xavi Hernandez, Franck Ribéry, Diego Armando Maradona, Alessandro Del Piero, Hassan Mohamed, Mehdi Benatia, Joseph Guardiola, Josè Mourinho, Mahdi Ali, Deco, Filippo Inzaghi, Riccardo Montolivo, Nicola Rizzoli, Adriano Galliani, Jorge Mendes, Giovanni Branchini and Rob Jansen.
