RAK expo centre sees 4pc rise in H1 visitors

RAS AL-KHAIMAH, July 24, 2017

Ras Al Khaimah Exhibition Centre, a Ras Al Khaimah Chamber initiative, hosted nine different consumer and specialist exhibitions during the first half of 2017 which drew 296,374 local and international visitors.

Jamal Al Taher, acting director of RAK Exhibition Centre, said: “The Centre offered a wide variety of exhibitions and activities, and we benefited from a four per cent increase in visitor numbers against the same period last year.”

He emphasized the fact that the Centre is one of the oldest exhibition centres in the country and an integral part of Ras Al Khaimah Chamber's efforts to support the exhibition and conference industry in the Emirate. He also added that these figures are an indication of the stability of the exhibition industry and its positive contribution to the development and investment climate in the Emirate.

The Centre is also working on several development plans during the current year to attract more exhibitions to the Emirate. It is also keen to maintain its high level of social responsibility through its assigned role to support the community and provide a range of services to several sectors in industry and the community at large.

Exhibitions held at the Centre included: RAK Book Fair, Fashion Village Fair, Skyline Ras Al Khaimah, Asia of East, Shopping World Exhibition, the Bridal Show, RAK Exhibition for Education and Training and Employment, Sham’s Exhibition, and RAK Ramadan Festival 2017. – TradeArabia News Service
