King Fahd Stadium gears up for National Day celebrations

RIYADH, September 23, 2017

The Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has announced that King Fahd Stadium will open its doors to both families and singles for the grand “National Epic” event being held tonight (September 23) to celebrate the country's 87th National Day.
 
The GEA is a government-sanctioned body borne out of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 program. It looks to develop, promote, regulate and fund a competitive entertainment infrastructure in the kingdom partnering with both government bodies and the private sector to achieve this ambition.
 
For the first time, King Fahd Stadium will be welcoming families for the mega event which will be free. 
 
The “National Epic,” which kicks off tonight at 8.30pm, is just one of the many unique events organized by GEA to celebrate the 87th National Day.
 
The GEA has announced that elaborate preparations have been made to unveil 27 diverse festivities including laser shows and vibrant firework displays across 17 cities within Saudi Arabia to mark the National Day.

Celebrations which began on Thursday will run through Monday, starting from Jeddah.
 
More than 500 actors will be performing a cultural operetta telling the national story of the Arabian Peninsula and the Saudi Arabia in three artistic chapters, all using impressive high-end technologies.
 
The venue, which can accommodate up to 40,000 people, will have separate single and family sections besides one for visitors with special needs. The stadium will open at 4pm and refreshments and food trucks will be available.
 
Electronic registration will be open for families, singles and individuals with special needs through the following link www.roznamah.sa/ar/events/national-epic/, said the statement from GEA. 
 
Free tickets can be booked by entering personal information during the registration process. Confirmation email and sms including the QR code will be sent to the individual on completion to confirm registration has been completed, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
