Bahrain International Garden Show (BIGS) has been postponed to next year, said a report citing an announcement from the National Initiative for Agricultural Development.

BIGS was scheduled for March, but the decision to postpone was taken based on Bahrain's deep sense of responsibility in dealing with the fast-paced developments and the kingdom's particular keenness on the health and wellbeing of citizens and residents amid the efforts to tackle the coronavirus (Covid-19) across the globe, said a report in BNA.
 
The decision is also in line with the instructions of the National Disaster Management Committee to postpone activities and events in order to support the kingdom's efforts in this regard.

Bahrain cares about the health and wellbeing of the participants and visitors from the kingdom and abroad and the National Initiative for Agricultural Development is committed to supporting the government's efforts in dealing efficiently with the unexpected and temporary circumstances, the report said.
