Bride Show Abu Dhabi gets bigger

Abu Dhabi, January 9, 2008

The Bride Show Abu Dhabi will be bigger and better than ever with an exclusive range of local and international exhibitors and a new fashion competition.

The show will be officially opened at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on February 5 by patron wife of Shaikh Dr Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Shaikha Sheikha bint Saif.

The Swarovski Abaya Design Awards, the first of its kind in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, will come to an exciting closing as all finalists' designs are professionally modeled on February 8.  Sponsored by Swarovski Middle East and endorsed by Abu Dhabi Ladies Club and the Family Development Foundation, the competition will focus on emerging talent in the UAE and their visions of the national dress.

More fashion shows than any other event in Abu Dhabi, models will strut down catwalks every day of the show, making The Bride Show a must attend event for fashion experts.

'This will be a spectacular event, with Abaya, wedding dress and haute couture fashion shows during the four-day exhibition,' said exhibition manager of The Bride Show Daphne Cota. 'It will be a great one-stop-shop event for brides and their families as well as an inspiration for women interested in fashion and beauty.'

Exhibitors include haute couture fashion houses such as Amato, Cygnet Fashion, Ghanati Couture and La Donna while models will grace the catwalks in threads designed by second generation designer Mohammed Rahmanian and Contessa, leading fashion houses in the UAE.

Visitors will have a chance to see unique items offered by local, regional and international businesses.

Everything from photography and custom-made travel packages to wedding cakes and one of a kind jewellery will be on display.  Established favorites and new talent will exhibit side by side, presenting every device and product you need to organize that special day.

Cecile, Europe's largest fashion centre, covering 4,500 square meters in its native Germany with 3,000 bridal gowns on offer, is exhibiting in Abu Dhabi with a limited collection designed specially for women in the Middle East.
Furthermore, the biggest wedding dress and embroidered veil manufacturer in the Ukraine, Junist, is attending The Bride Show Abu Dhabi for the first time to display their 2008 collection.

Other special features include the official Scent of the Bride Show, created exclusively by Abu Haleeqa stores, a traditional name in the Gulf Fashion and Textile Industry.

The Bride Show Abu Dhabi is supporting 'Make-A-Wish' as their official charity, an international organization dedicated to granting wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses, also under the patronage of Shaikha Sheikha bint Saif. - TradeArabia News Service
