Doha, February 7, 2008

Patton Boggs LLP, an international leader in business law, has named Sonia Barber as a partner.

Barber, who is resident in the firm’s Doha office, advises clients on a wide range of issues, including business compliance, business formation, employment law, construction contracts and dispute resolution.

Barber also advises clients working on major building and infrastructure projects, including the hospitality (hotels and resorts) industry.

“Sonia is an outstanding attorney and an important part of our team,” said Robert Hager, managing partner in the Doha office. “She is an asset for our clients and we are proud of her work.”

Prior to working for Patton Boggs, Barber worked in Australia at a highly regarded law firm. She has more than six years of experience working in Qatar and is conversational in Japanese.

Barber joins Doha partners William Cattan, whose practice includes work on LNG matters for Qatar Petroleum and its affiliates, and project and bank finance transactions, and Robert Hager, who focuses his practice on joint ventures, finance, construction and infrastructure. –TradeArabia News Service
