Dubai Fashion Fiesta a hit

Dubai Fashion Fiesta 2008, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, drew huge crowds as famed designers from various parts of the world displayed their collections to fashion enthusiasts.

The four-day fashion gala ended on Sunday.

Preeti Chandra from India, known to infuse her collections with bright colours symbolising a combination of traditional and contemporary designs, presented her Fusion Collection at the show.

Models walked the ramp wearing the collections of Larisa Karts, the Dutch designer renowned for her use of different fabrics to communicate aspects of her creations, on the second day.

Presentations on the concluding day included that of: SARV Atelier (India), Mystic Mantra (India), and Amato (UAE).

The SARV Atelier brand made its debut in Mumbai, and is known to skillfully combine Indian motifs. Mystic Mantra is a bespoke fashion label established in 2006 by India’s first female designer duo Priyanka Shah and Ruchita. Amato, a local brand catering to the elite, showcased its collections in ladies couture wear. - TradeArabia News Service
