Visit Britain sponsors hit Arabic quiz show

Every week during the Holy Month of Ramadan, GCC families tuning in to the popular quiz show ‘Chooz w Fooz’ will have the opportunity to put their knowledge of Britain to the test for a chance to win an exclusive trip for two to London, Visit Britain, the tourism agency, has announced.
The lively and interactive game show, which airs on Al Aan TV, encourages audience participation to answer a series of challenging questions by SMS, with a winner announced at the end of each show.
A special UK-themed edition of the program will be aired every Monday evening as part of a month-long Ramadan campaign aimed at entertaining viewers whilst raising their awareness of Britain as a leading destination for Arab families, said the tourism agency.
“Families from the Gulf make up the majority of our Middle East visitor traffic and these competitions are a great way for viewers to learn interesting facts about Britain and the many family-friendly activities the region has to offer year round,” said Carol Maddison, marketing manager, Visit Britain UAE.
The UK has long been a favourite destination for GCC travellers, with an extensive range of family-oriented tourist attractions bringing in an increasing number of visitors each year - making this region one of its most important and fastest-growing tourism markets.
The initiative is part of Visit Britain’s ‘Be Inspired’ marketing campaign, a special project aimed at showcasing the diverse opportunities, unique experiences, and world-class services on offer in one the world’s most popular visitor destinations in the world.-TradeArabia News Service
