Ofis introduces eco-friendly flooring

Dubai, November 26, 2008

Ofis, a division of Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group (ESAG), has unveiled new eco-friendly carpet tile range, inspired by vintage couture fashion.

Using a revolutionary harvesting method, all of the Convert range from InterfaceFLOR is made from post-consumer yarn through the company’s recycling program.

The new range is designed by David Oakley who took inspiration from great moments in fashion history to produce the iconic tiles.

“Installing the Convert range says much about a company’s style and conscience,” said Ajai Kumar Dayal, general manager – retail and marketing, Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group.

“InterfaceFlor is one of the most environmentally-committed companies in the world, and they are bringing to the UAE a new way of thinking about environmental issues.”

InterfaceFlor guarantees that a minimum amount of 65 per cent of the Convert carpet tile will be made from recycled content – the highest amount for any tile in the world.

“These products offer a full spectrum of colours and stunningly beautiful design capabilities that no one believed post-consumer materials could ever achieve,” said Vaneesh Malhotra, sales manager, Ofis.

“More importantly however, it is another step towards InterfaceFLOR’s Mission Zero promise to eliminate any negative impact on the environment by 2020,” he added.-TradeArabia News Service
