Henkel ceremony marks marketing innovation

Henkel, a leader in home care, personal care, and adhesive technologies, recently held its first marketing awards ceremony which commemorated creativity and innovation in marketing.

Accolades were given out to a number of agencies working in partnership with Henkel across the GCC.

“In today’s world, any company working towards being a leader in the fast moving consumer goods industry needs to have strong brand equity development with a focus on generating consumer insights, developing excellent brands, great advertising and outstanding below the line execution,” said Memosh Khawaja, general manager of Henkel Saudi Arabia.

“Finally, creativity, innovation and new product experiences, developed at the heart of consumer trends, will be key to success.”

Consumer outlook has advanced and matured in the GCC as buyers become more exposed and knowledgeable of marketing communication techniques.

During its ten years of operation in the GCC, Henkel has worked towards keeping its brand communication fresh and relevant to the Arabic society. Organising this awards ceremony is Henkel’s next step in promoting and advancing out of the box creative thinking.

One of the key awards of this evening was presented to TBWA, Riyadh for their work on the successful advertising campaign on DAC disinfectants. The advertisement was rated very highly by the Saudi consumers, and has helped the brand consolidate its market leadership.

Henkel also awarded its strategic partner “Saudi German Hospital.”

The flagship brand, DAC, and Saudi German Hospital share a common vision of keeping the Saudi household hygienically healthy and have been actively working together to achieve their common vision for four years now.

Other awards in a number of categories included “Best Creative Brand Placement,” “Best BTL Execution,” and “Best Multimedia Campaign.”

“In today’s world, creativity being in tune with consumer trends is the key to success of any brand communication,” said Ghassan Kassabji, managing director of TBWA Saudi Arabia.

“Companies keeping this in mind are more likely to succeed among today’s sophisticated consumer in these difficult times. Henkel certainly understands this and the awards night is a reflection of this understanding,” he added.

The marketing awards was seen as unique by most of the participants in the evening as most companies celebrate success internally but Henkel decided to celebrate its success externally with its strategic partners. – TradeArabia News Service
