AMG laser show marks India bridge opening

Dubai, July 8, 2009

Done Events, the event management arm of Arab Media Group (AMG), led a traffic-stopping fireworks, lights and laser show to mark the opening of Bandra-Worli Sea Link in Mumbai, the longest open sea cable-stay bridge in India.

Thousands of viewers took in the night-time show, the handiwork of nearly 4,000 labourers and 150 engineers, said a Done Events official.

'Being a part of a historical occasion was an incredible privilege for Done Events, and the public response was phenomenal,' commented Done Events managing director Richard Bellia.

'The experience and multicultural knowledge available in the Done Events team as well as the expertise gained from working in the region on world class events for prestigious clients such as the Dubai International Film Festival and Qatar Airways, to name a few, have stood us in good stead — we are expanding into overseas markets and putting the UAE on the map as a result,' he added.

Launched in 2005, Done Events serves a growing portfolio of regional and international clients.

Done Events is credited with staging the first Broadway musical to play in the Middle East with the 2006 show of Chicago—The Musical. It has also supported numerous high-level government events since its inception.-TradeArabia News Service
