Dubai, April 14, 2010

Royal Philips Electronics, a global health and wellbeing company, will showcase its portfolio of complete and innovative LED lighting solutions for consumer and professional applications at an ongoing interiors show in Frankfurt.

Light + Building, a leading lighting and architecture fair, opened on April 11 at Messe Frankfurt to run until April 16.

Philips’ portfolio of lighting solutions includes a breakthrough 12 watt LED lamp as a substitute for a 60 watt light bulb and LivingAmbiance, a new approach to mood creation, wirelessly integrating multiple luminaires and lamps in one system for the home.

Also on show are The Lirio, Arcitone and Ledino collections of distinctive, high-design consumer luminaires to match modern interiors and new solutions and concepts enabling municipalities to create more livable cities through the adoption of LED street lighting.

Philips is also displaying LED luminaire and control solutions for offices and shops.

“Philips recognizes and understands the fundamental changes taking place in the world today,” says Rudy Provoost, CEO of Philips Lighting and a member of the board of management of Royal Philips Electronics.

“Lifestyles are changing, urbanization is presenting new challenges for city leaders, and society in general is more environmentally aware. We are applying the functional and creative potential of LED lighting to address these trends, and to simply enhance life with light,” Provoost added. – TradeArabia News Service
