mediaME.com, the leading user-generated content portal for advertising and media professionals, has reached a landmark of 10,000 members.

“We are pleased to end the year 2010 on a high, hitting our target of 10,000 members in December,” said Zeid Nasser, founder of mediaME.com and managing director of MediaScope.

“Our concentrated efforts to serve advertising and media professionals across the region have generated 30 per cent net growth in memberships within one year, taking into account our continuous database ‘clean up’ efforts.”

“Add to this the substantial number of daily visits from non-members, who seek marketing communications related content, and it becomes clear that we now offer unparalleled premium reach to this target group of Middle East professionals,” he added.

“Our users either sign up for a full user account, to upload content and communicate with one another, or simply sign up to receive the weekly newsletter,” Nasser continued.

“The combined number of these users represents our total membership base. Approximately 25 per cent of our members are from the UAE, and accordingly over half of our members come from GCC countries. Virtually all of our members are from countries in the MENA region, with also strong numbers in Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon.”

Looking towards 2011, mediaME has significant developments and announcements planned. In January, mediaME plans to launch an iPhone application which comes in response to growing demand from mobile users for ‘on the go’ access.

It will deliver the website’s comprehensive company directory and other resources, in addition to a daily feed of the latest marketing communications jobs, events, research, news, interviews and more.
