Berger, partners meet on business plans

Berger Paints Oman recently held a week-long enclave in Istanbul for key channel partners, which featured discussions and presentations on the company’s business plans.
P K Raj, general manager, Berger Paints Oman, honoured all participating channel partners who achieved their targets with certificates and trophies. He also encouraged all the channel partners to contribute and continue to support the company in achieving the challenges and targets for 2011-12.
“We are glad to see the success achieved by our channel partners. We appreciate the efforts in making Berger Paints a household name in Oman,” Raj said.
Rajarshi Banerjee, senior manager – marketing, Berger Paints, said: "Times have really changed for Berger since we first arrived in the Middle East. The region and the Sultanate in particular have advanced at such a tremendous pace and this change has been reflected in the paints industry.”
“Whilst the market size in Oman continues to expand, with mega projects being launched on a daily basis, Berger has initiated several structural changes including the establishment of a special task force,” he added.
Berger Paints has had a very long association with Oman, initially entering the market in the 90’s through exports from the Indian unit. In 1999 it established its first factory in Muscat and in the last few years has built up strengths in the Oman market, a statement said.
"Berger Paints remains steadfast in its commitment towards implementing key initiatives in customer servicing, the quality of our products, human resource and information resource technology,” said Sandeep Utekar, manager-sales.
