Governor to open Makkah Summit
Jeddah , September 20, 2011
Prince Khalid Al-Faisal Bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, Governor of the Makkah Province, has announced his patronage and attendance at the Second Modern Makkah Summit and Awards.
The prestigious initiative, taking place on December 10 and 11 at the Hilton Jeddah, is being jointly organised by the Saudi-based Star Group Holdings and leading French business information group naseba.
The summit is the latest development resulting from a strategic alliance between the two organisations, to create a series of large-scale business-driven events in Saudi Arabia, naseba said in a statement.
Under the theme ‘Modernising the Holy City and the Greater Province’, the two days will explore projects that are shaping the future of the region.
Key local, regional and international players from the infrastructure, real estate, hospitality and tourism sectors will be in attendance – all looking to showcase their expertise and drive future expansion plans, it said.
In conjunction with the summit, the Makkah New Era Awards will recognise industry leaders who have played an active role in the development of the province and its historical transformation.
Managing director of Naseba, Fabien Faure said: “It is an honour to be working under the patronage of Prince Khalid Al-Faisal Bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud. Naseba is proud to host the 2nd Modern Makkah Summit and Awards in line with the Prince’s vision of expanding, developing and transforming the Makkah Province.” – TradeArabia News Service
