Sugar Daddy ends franchise in UAE

Dubai, October 13, 2011

Sugar Daddy's Bakery, one of the best cupcake emporiums in the Middle East, with branches in Amman and Beirut, has confirmed the end of its franchise operation in the UAE.

The bakery’s UAE branch was launched in 2008, as a franchise extension of the original store founded by Fadi Jaber in Amman, Jordan in 2007.

After three years of considerable commercial success, the decision was taken to end the UAE franchise relationship in early October 2011, a statement from the bakery said.

The original Sugar Daddy's, currently operating in Amman and Beirut, will retain the Sugar Daddy brand and continue delivering the best, tastiest desserts around, it said.

In due course, the team plans to re-open Sugar Daddy stores in the UAE and other markets in order to serve its loyal customer base, and to restore the original legacy of classic desserts made with love, it said. – TradeArabia News Service
