Top Thai restaurant opens at Abu Dhabi mall
Abu Dhabi, March 27, 2012
Lemongrass Thai Restaurant opened its first branch in Abu Dhabi today at Mushrif Mall, following its success at the Dubai branches.
Yousef Ali, board member of Abu Dhabi Chambers of Commerce and Industry, inaugurated the restaurant in the presence of the wife of the Ambassador of Thailand to UAE, Viyada Charanasomboon, and a large number of attendees.
Lemongrass has been ranked as one of Dubai’s top performing hundred small and medium enterprises (SME’s) in 2011.
The restaurant is well known for offering home-cooked Thai dishes prepared by the finest Thai chiefs, creating a unique impression amongst its customers as they receive the authentic Thai hospitality experience, said a statement.
Stephane Jacques, founder of Lemongrass, Dubai, said: “Given the significant diverse cultures and people living in the UAE, we wanted to establish a restaurant that combines authentic home-cooked Thai food and high standards of hospitality to cater to people with different backgrounds.”
“This is a first step in an ambitious expansion plan that will include regional and international markets in the near future. Abu Dhabi is considered a touristic hub in the region, attracting many visitors and therefore provides us with an ideal opportunity to grow further,” she said.
“Abu Dhabi Chambers continues to provide full support to all sorts of business activities as well as facilitating the entry of local brands and trademarks in the Emirate, in line with the mission that drives the Chambers to create the perfect environment for the private sector to grow in and develop,” Ali said. “We strongly believe that the restaurant’s sector is amongst the most prominent sectors that contribute widely to the increase in number of visitors to Abu Dhabi.”
Saleh Al Jabry, managing director of Lemongrass Thai Restaurant in Abu Dhabi, said: “We hope that through the launch of Lemongrass in Abu Dhabi, we can provide residents of Abu Dhabi an enjoyable Thai experience that meets the international hospitality standards.”
“Lemongrass presents an atmosphere that is inspired by the popular stalls on the roads of Bangkok, which serves traditional and exceptional dishes. Our work philosophy enables us to provide our customers with an overall Thai lifestyle and not just a regular restaurant’s experience, which is confirmed by the restaurant’s ambiance and designs,” he added.
Lemongrass Thai Restaurant is located on the third floor of Mushrif Mall. The restaurant subtly leaves an indelible impression on its customers both visually and taste wise, the statement said.
The interiors of the restaurant consist natural earthy materials such as water, gravel and bamboo, which corroborates the natural essence and serenity associated with the Asian atmosphere. It has been designed to take into consideration its customers’ privacy through the right distribution of space.
The featured cuisine offered is well recognised as truly natural, without the addition of any artificial products, cooked by the restaurant’s best Thai chefs and served by Thai staff, it said.
