Egypt's wheat supply sufficient to last until April 23

Egypt's wheat supply is sufficient to last until April 23, the supplies minister was quoted by state-run Al-Ahram news website as saying on Sunday.

Mohamed Abu Shadi said last month that the country's wheat supply was sufficient to last until April 7.

Shadi has previously told Reuters that the government is aiming to maintain six months worth of wheat stockpiles. - Reuters
