Bahrain's National Dialogue on track

Manama, February 10, 2014

Plans to revive Bahrain's collapsed National Dialogue initiative are gathering pace.

The Royal Court has already received a proposed new agenda set out by members of the National Assembly (Shura Council and parliament) and the opposition and is only waiting for the National Coalition (Sunni contingent), said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

"We are waiting for the three other groups to submit their visions, before we decide to submit ours to the government," said Minister of State for Information and official government spokeswoman Sameera Rajab.

"Whenever all are submitted, the agenda will be drawn up in line with common grounds.

"The agenda will be announced through the media to the public, the moment it gets completed."

The talks were indefinitely suspended on January 8, but are now back on track after the Crown Prince last month met with the opposition. - TradeArabia News Service
