Midamar celebrates 40 years of ME business

Midamar Corporation, a US pioneer and leader in Halal food products, is celebrating its 40th year of doing business in the Middle East in style at the ongoing Gulfood expo in Dubai.

This year at the Gulfood Show, in addition to the Greek Style Gyros served in previous years, Midamar will be serving delicious premium Halal Turkey Deli meats as samples.

Jalel Aossey, the co-owner and managing director of Midamar, said the company has been exhibiting at the Gulfood Show since it was launched over 25 years ago.

"From experience I can tell you that this show gets better every year. It is a very good investment for companies that wish to connect with existing customers and meet prospective customers in the region. As the biggest food show in the region, Gulfood enables us to meet a diverse number of industry associates and to get updates on local trends and news in the industry," remarked Aossey.

"There are many F&B and retail buyers at Gulfood which is great for a premium food brand like Midamar," he added.  

According to him, Midamar’s Halal brand offers consumers over 200 premium quality food products. "The Halal Gyros is available in a 10kg. cone or pre-sliced package for food service customers. The economy size case is also perfect for special occasions and family gatherings," he stated.

Aossey pointed out that Midamar was also showcasing its new premium deli turkey meats line. "Last year Midamar Halal Garlic and Herb Turkey Deli Meat won the Gulfood Award for Best New Frozen and Chilled Food. This year Midamar will be featuring its full line of Chunk Turkey Deli Meats," he noted.

"The line includes the award winning Garlic and Herb, Black Forest, Hickory Smoked, and Golden Browned Halal Turkey Breast. These Chunk Turkey Breasts are now in Deli Counters in major supermarkets in the US," he added.

This year, Aossey will be addressing food franchising professionals at the Food Franchising Conference - a Gulfood event, taking place tomorrow (February 25). The topic will be “Maintaining Consistency in International Sourcing and Supply”.

This year Midamar is celebrating 40 years of business helping US restaurant concepts maintain brand identity and Halal food consistency in the Middle East. Jalel Aossey will be able to share some useful insights gained throughout the years.
