Cricket legend Tendulkar plans Bahrain visit

Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar will visit Bahrain next week to attend the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
The Indian batsman will travel to Manama at the invitation of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
Bahrain's first-ever Formula One night race will be held at Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir from April 4 to 6.
Leading Bahraini businessman Mohammed Dadabhai, who is a close friend of the cricketer, confirmed the visit to the GDN yesterday.
"This is great news that will bring both Bahrain and India closer as the cricketing idol has accepted the invitation to visit Bahrain to attend this year's Formula One race," he said.
"There is no doubt that Sachin Tendulkar, who is visiting with his family, will be one of the main attractions of this major event and we are happy that the most popular cricketer in the world is visiting Bahrain." - TradeArabia News Service
