Giraffe opens new outlet at Dubai airport

Dubai, July 7, 2014

All-day dining private equity-backed restaurant, Giraffe Concepts, has joined hands with Emirates Leisure Retail (ELR) to open its new outlet at Dubai International Airport.

ELR, a subsidiary of the high profile Emirates Group, owns and operates a wide-ranging portfolio of restaurants, cafés and bars in the Middle East, Australia and beyond.

The new 'giraffe STOP' outlet has been launched at Terminal 3 Concourse B, designed to complement the existing giraffe restaurant, the family favourite, all-day dining restaurant in Concourse A.

The new 600 sq ft site is fast, friendly, funky and with everything available to go, 24hours a day; itʼs perfect for those travelling through the airport for business or pleasure, said a top company official.

"Through our existing successful partnership with ELR, we are delighted to bring giraffe STOP to the UAE. This quick service restaurant is perfectly suited to the airport environment - It's not just grab and go, diners can STOP and enjoy their meal as they are waiting to board their plane, or of course enjoy it on-the-go," remarked Sam Anstey, the franchise of giraffe.

"Passengers looking to take a break from the hustle and bustle can take a seat in the 25 cover seating area or pull up a pew at the long sharing table to enjoy the travel-themed homage adorning the walls. With vibrant colours and a modern fast-casual restaurant feel, together with free Wi-Fi, your dining experience will fly by!," he said.

The restaurant will serve its hot favourites such as creamy organic porridge; brekkie baps filled with a fresh herb and cheese omelette with smoky tomato relish, a breakfast burrito packed with beef chorizo, eggs, jalapenos and a chipotle salsa or pick up a freshly baked hot filled croissant from the counter.

ELR Group CEO Andrew Day said: “We are proud to be launching the latest addition to our giraffe family, giraffe STOP at Dubai International airport. Offering passengers the great taste of giraffe in an exciting new dine-in & take-away format is testament to our commitment to our successful partnership with giraffe and of course, continually offering our customers world-class experiences.”

The ELR Group operates over 200 outlets (including more than 45 outlets across ten domestic and international airports) such as Costa Coffee, Hudsons Coffee, worldʼs first Jackʼs Bar & Grill and Le Lounge by Moet & Chandon, the worldʼs first Heineken Lounge outside North America, Left Bank and Bidi Bondi.-TradeArabia News Service
