Bahrain to invest $22bn in projects

Bahrain's plans to invest more than $22 billion in various projects, under the GCC Development Programme, will have a positive effect on its economy and the labour market, the Crown Prince said last night.
 
This came as His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, visited majlises of the Mahmoud, Al Buainain and Al Musallam families in Hidd, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
 
"Providing a better quality of life for all Bahrainis remains the government's key priority," he said.
 
"Inclusive development reinforces long-term stablility and this has been proved by the GCC countries."
 
The Crown Prince praised the dedication of loyal Bahrainis who continue to contribute to the kingdom's development and help maintain its security and stability.
 
"Reinforcing national values that promote loyalty is of paramount importance," he said, urging clerics and scholars to use religious speeches to promote unity.
 
His Royal Highness extended his wishes to the people of Gaza and called for immediate steps by international partners to help bring a swift and peaceful end to the Palestine crisis.
 
He emphasised the role of the e-complaints and suggestions system Tawasul in increasing interaction with the public. He also encouraged government officials to address all enquiries submitted by citizens in accordance with system protocols.
 
He wished the people of Bahrain on Ramadan and stressed the need to promote compassion and harmony within society. - TradeArabia News Service
