Kuwait Food gains surge 8.7pc in Q2

Kuwait Food Company, which sells food products under the Americana brand name, reported an 8.7 per cet increase in second-quarter net profit.
The company made a profit of KD12.80 million ($45.2 million) compared with KD11.78 million in the corresponding period of 2013, it said in a statement on Kuwait’s bourse.
Total operating revenue rose 5.9 per cent to KD238.7 million, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
