Technical snag hits Dubai Metro train
Dubai, August 14, 2014
A technical snag stopped a train on Dubai Metro’s Red Line yesterday evening between Al Karama and Al Jafiliya stations during peak hours.
Several commuters were stranded for for some time following the incident, said a report in the Gulf News.
However, Metro services were fully restored later in the evening.
According to a Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) official, the train on the Red Line was hit by an electrical failure, causing the metro to stall operations between the Union and Business Bay metro stations, the report said.
