Lilyhammer... a treat for Mena viewers

‘Lilyhammer’ now available to Mena viewers

DUBAI, January 12, 2015

Icflix [pronounced “I-see-flix”], a leading internet streaming subscription service in the Middle East and North Africa, has picked up the rights to Red Arrow International’s critically acclaimed mobster series ‘Lilyhammer’ to stream across the region.

The series centres around former gangster Frank ‘The Fixer’ Tagliano (played by Steven Van Zandt) who testifies against his Mafia boss, and enters the witness protection programme but makes an unusual demand, to be set up with a new life in the Norwegian small town Lillehammer – or as he calls it ‘Lilyhammer’. Thrust into a town that never met crime, Frank is confronted with a colourful cast of characters totally unlike the New York variety.

“Lilyhammer is an exceptional series with international appeal,” said Carlos Tibi, CEO and founder of icflix. “We are positive that our members across Middle East and North Africa will enjoy it as much as fans globally have till now.”

The third season finale will show rock-legend Bruce Springsteen known as ‘The Boss’, making his acting debut where he plays Giuseppe 'The Undertaker' Tagliano, the older brother of Frank Tagliano. All three seasons of Lilyhammer will be available to icflix subscribers to stream across the Mena region and will be available with Arabic and French subtitles.

Yi Qiao, Red Arrow International junior sales manager Middle East and North Africa, said: “Viewers in the Middle East and North Africa are huge drama fans and icflix is known for high-end programmes featuring A-list stars. So no doubt, ‘Lilyhammer’ will be in good hands.” – TradeArabia News Service
