Eid Al-Adha holiday from Sept 23 in UAE

ABU DHABI, September 15, 2015

The UAE has announced that Eid Al Adha holiday will start on September 23 for employees of ministries and federal government departments, a Wam report said.

Work will resume on September 27, according to a circular issued today by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Labour has declared three-day paid holiday -- from September 23 to 25 -- for all workers in the private sector to celebrate Eid Al-Adha.

The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has said that today (September 15) will be the start of the lunar month of Dhu Al-Hijjah of 1436 AH and the 9th day of Dhu Al-Hijjah will be September 23 (Day of Arafat) and that Eid Al Adha will be on September 24.
