Saudi shura recommends 5-day work week
RIYADH, February 3, 2016
Saudi Arabia's Shura Council has reaffirmed its earlier recommendation that private sector firms should give two days off to workers in a week, said a report.
It also said the total working week should be reduced to 40 hours, said the Arab News report.
The consultative body’s meeting was chaired by its deputy chairman Mohammed bin Ameen Al-Jafri.
Yahya bin Abdullah Al-Samaan, assistant chairman of the body, said during Ramadan, Muslims will work seven hours a day.
