Heavy voter turnout at Bahrain elections

MANAMA, November 24, 2018

Heavy turnout was reported at the 14 general polling centres across Bahrain on Saturday as the voters cast their ballots in the fifth quadrennial parliamentary and municipal elections since 2002, said a report.

By midday, the polling stations in the first, second, third, sixth and tenth constituencies of the Northern Governorate witnessed a large number of voters, reported BNA, citing the heads of the electoral committees.

They also said that voters have been present at the polling stations since the early morning, the officials stated.

The great turnout in the elections shows the people's support for the reform process launched by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, they added.
