Story Hospitality strengthens sustainability initiative

Story Hospitality, an integrated hospitality management platform, is planing to implement a strategy that is built on the protection of the environment. 
 
To augment its sustainability initiatives, Story Hospitality signed a partnership with Green Key which supports all hotels under its portfolio with tools and resources for sustainability certification. 
 
CEO Claudio Capaccioli said: “We understand sustainability as meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations. Through our various initiatives, we want to take all necessary steps to reduce any negative impact on the environment.

All the hotels under Story Hospitality, embraces an eco-project based on five inter-connected pillars - Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle, Protect Wildlife, Reduce Water Consumption, Energy Conservation, and Local Care & Fair Trade. These elements are intertwined to improve the environment and project the practices to the rest of the world. 
 
The hospitality firm is driving environmental and social change across its operations, supply chain and communities through some of the company’s green initiatives. 
 
Story Seychelles  
 
The boutique resort has earned awards for the ‘Leading Green Resort Seychelles 2020’ for three consecutive years for its initiatives such as dedicated ecological areas, contributing to educational and local projects within and outside the property.  
 
Fisherman’s Cove, Seychelles 
 
The resort is built upon the principle of protecting the environment and received a certification by the Seychelles Sustainable Tourism Label. It has implemented various strategies which include using recycled products, ensuring advancements towards a better and sustainable future.  
 
Story Rabat 
 
As part of Morocco's efforts to promote sustainable tourism, Story Rabat Boutique Hotel & Spa encourages guests to reuse towels during their stay as well as replacing plastic water bottles with glass bottles, installing sensor lights across the hotel alleys to reduce energy consumption. 
 
Cue Podgorica 
 
It is the first Green Key member in Podgorica. The hotel has introduced advanced technology to monitor energy and water consumption. It has also implemented smart ways to keep a check on the daily energy consumption. 
 
H Dubai 
 
It received the Green Key Certification for 2021 by the Emirates Green Building Council. The hotel has implemented the use of green cards and green stickers in the room to conserve energy and water. The property has also introduced Super Green Vouchers through which guests can choose not to have their room cleaned for the day.-TradeArabia News Service
