Mauritius pavilion showcases leisure, investment opportunities

DUBAI, October 7, 2021

The Mauritius Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai is urging visitors to explore the blend of leisure, investment and business prospects in the African country.
Commissioner General for Mauritius Pavilion and Economic Development Board of Mauritius CEO Ken Poonoosamy welcomed dignitaries and guests to the pavilion during the official ribbon cutting ceremony and shared highlights of the pavilion with the gathering.
Guest of Honour Showkutally Soodhun, the Mauritius Ambassador to the UAE and Deputy Commissioner General for the Mauritius pavilion, thanked the UAE Government and the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, for their unflinching support in ensuring a successful participation of Mauritius at Expo 2020, AETOSWire reported.
Poonoosamy said that business events and cultural activities will be held during the six months of the Expo focusing on the country’s vision, sustainable development and its will to embrace innovation.
Through its participation at the event, Mauritius seeks to build stronger bilateral ties with the GCC countries and consolidate its role as a safe travel destination and leading business platform for the region. 
The pavilion themed ‘Roots of the Future’ showcases the cultural heritage and provides an insight into the economic pathway towards the journey ushering Mauritius to a high-income economy.
