Manama, September 26, 2009
Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), a leading modern aluminium smelter, is sponsoring the Bahrain Riders Club’s participation at the Motor Bike Week in Lebanon as they leave Bahrain on September 30 for an eleven-day trip.
The support, which is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility, is aimed at bolstering Bahraini youth and promoting their talents at the local, regional and international level.
Alba chief executive Ahmed Saleh Al Noaimi emphasised the company’s willingness to encourage the efforts of the Kingdom’s young citizens in making a positive contribution in the sporting arena.
“Alba regularly and actively supports national and regional sporting events in which Bahraini youth participate. This support is a clear expression of our partnership with society and our desire to promote Bahraini youth on a wider platform,” said Al Noaimi.
The eleven day trip, which is organised by the Bahrain Riders Club, will involve 19 members who will start their journey from Bahrain through Saudi Arabia, reaching Jordan then Syria, until it reaches Lebanon.
When they reach Lebanon, they will join 500 to 700 other bikers from the Middle East and Europe for a bikers gathering from October 2 to 4. The team will return to Bahrain using the same route that they took for reaching Lebanon.
“We highly appreciate Alba’s generous contribution in sponsoring this event that promotes Bahrain, Bahrain Riders Club, and other sponsoring companies in all the countries covered by this trip, especially Jordan and Lebanon, which will be our stop for five days,” said Ali Fairouz, general secretary and public relations manager of the Bahrain Riders Club.
“This trip is organised by 19 members of the Bahrain Bikers Club who are proud owners of top brands like Harley Davidson, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Toyota FJ and others,” added Fairouz. – TradeArabia News Service
