New luxury sports car comes to Bahrain

Manama, May 10, 2010

A ceremony was held to mark the arrival of the luxury sports car Maserati GranCabrio in Bahrain.

The high-performance, two-door sports car was launched by its dealers Euro Motors at the Royal Golf Club, Riffa, last night.

The GranCabrio is the first four-seater convertible in the history of Maserati and completes its product line-up consisting of three different families of models, said officials.

The other models include the Quattroporte sedans, GranTurismo coupes and the GranCabrio convertible.

Euro Motors managing director Zayed Al Zayani said the open-top GranCabrio was a Maserati in the truest sense.

'It has attracted a lot of attention since its debut at the Frankfurt International Motor Show for its beautiful styling and design,' he said.

'We are delighted to present another masterpiece combining luxury, comfort and motoring excellence with the introduction of this model in Bahrain.'

Maserati Middle East and Africa managing director Umberto Cini said the Maserati GranCabrio received much praise in the past few months from the Press and critics.

'Since its worldwide debut at Frankfurt Auto Show, the Maserati GranCabrio has been appraised by media representatives and the public.'

The GranCabrio is powered by a 4.7 litre V8 engine, paired with six-speed automatic transmission.

In sport mode, the engine gives the driver and passengers the full power of its 323kW, said officials.

The GranCabrio will be available at Euro Motors, Sitra, from next month.-TradeArabia News Service
