Dollar offers flexible car rentals options
Dubai, May 15, 2012
Dollar Rent A Car, a leading car rental company in the region, said it is raising the bar on flexible offerings in the UAE with hourly car rentals besides offering half days and a day off on weekly rentals.
The Pay-As-You-Go model includes hourly rentals, one and a half day rentals on weekend (normally two day) rentals, and two day weekend rentals from Thursday evening until Sunday morning, said the car rental firm which currently operates 20 outlets in the UAE.
“At Dollar Rent A Car, we are listening to the feedback of our customers in order to be their car rental provider of choice in the highly competitive market in the UAE,” said Marwan Al Mulla, the UAE general manager.
“Customers do not want to be burdened with the cost of unnecessary car rental time. With hourly and half-day rentals, we are not only offering one customer the freedom, but increasing availability for another customer looking to rent,” he explained.
According to him, Dollar Rent a Car has arranged their logistics and service systems accordingly to maintain the quality and availability of the fleet to accompany their hourly and weekend offer rentals.
"As customers are more vigilant of their payments, the Pay-as –you-go model has been adopted in various industries in the region, from telecom to consultancy services," said Al Mulla.
"We believe this model will soon be followed by all car rental companies in the region. Instead of the customer adapting their travel plans according to their commitment with their car rental company, customers are given the freedom to travel as they want, when they want," he added.
Dollar Rent A Car, which opened its Middle East office in 2004, also operates in Oman, Jordan, Kuwait, Turkey, Morocco and Saudi Arabia.-TradeArabia News Service
