Bentley launches Mulsanne bespoke services

Dubai, September 24, 2012

England-based Bentley Motors has introduced the Mulsanne Executive Interior Specification to the Middle East, offering customers an array of bespoke business, comfort and entertainment features.

It is designed to help conduct business on-the-move or unwind between meetings - all beautifully integrated into the comfortable cabin which takes Bentley’s craftsmen over 170 hours to create, a statement from the company said.

The Mulsanne rear passengers receive individual Apple iPad workstations with full internet access (integrated into retractable picnic tables) whilst a large, drop-down LED screen ensures that a wide selection of movies as well as television can also be enjoyed.

Renowned for its painstaking attention to detail, Bentley has added a range of finishing touches including a Tibaldi fountain pen from its specially commissioned collection which is hand-veneered to match the veneer in the car and is discretely stowed in the centre armrest, the statement said.

Chris Buxton, regional director for Bentley Middle East, said: “Many customers use their time in the Mulsanne to keep on top of their business commitments or simply take a few moments to relax.”

“This fully functioning specification highlights the Mulsanne’s potential to help busy executives to communicate effectively and quickly whilst travelling. As you would expect from Bentley, all these features work in harmony with the handcrafted cabin and can be displayed or hidden at the user’s discretion.”

Key entertainment and business features include two electric-powered, foldable wood veneer picnic tables in the rear cabin, each with Apple iPad and Apple Bluetooth keyboards. The ipads provide access, via an on-board wireless router, to email and social media, web browsing, interactive gaming and video calls (where network speeds allow).

An Apple Mini Mac stored in an electrically-deployed boot compartment allows TV, movies or office software to be displayed on the 15.6-inch monitor. An iPod acts as a control panel in the rear console.

A 15.6 inch High Definition LED dropdown monitor from the roof of the Mulsanne plays videos (from DVD on-board Bentley hard drive, SD card and Mac Mini) and allows the passenger to watch television.

Bespoke control keys on the rear console operates picnic tables, reading lights, control HD LED screen and select video and audio options, the statement said. The rear armrest houses the Tibaldi pen and a privacy telephone handset as standard while an optional extra is the bespoke bottle cooler in the rear centre console keeping drinks cold behind an illuminated, double-glazed glass door.

“The Mulsanne is a pure example of the Grand Touring Bentley, combining coach-built elegance and hand-crafted luxury with immense power and sportiness that together offer the world’s most exclusive driving experience. In an era of mass production, it stands at the pinnacle of British luxury motoring,” Buxton said.

With a 0-60 mph sprint time of 5.1 seconds (0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds) and a top speed of 184 mph (296 km/h) the 505 bhp (512 PS/377 kw) Mulsanne, with its class-leading torque of 1020Nm, has always offered thunderous levels of performance for an ultra-luxury sedan.

“The Mulsanne’s beautifully balanced proportions convey a unique sense of dynamism and movement.”

In common with all Bentley vehicles, customers of the Executive Interior Specification have the opportunity to create a truly bespoke car from a palette of over 100 paint colours, a class-leading choice of unbleached premium quality veneers and marquetry options and a selection of 25 leather hides.

The Mulsanne Executive Interior Specification is now available to order through Bentley Showrooms throughout the Middle East. – TradeArabia News Service
