Al Futtaim Motors takes part in SME summit

Al-Futtaim Motors, the exclusive distributor of Toyota in the UAE, took part as the automotive partner in the SME World Summit, which concluded in Dubai today (March 27).
The SME World Summit is a business meet for more than 200 small companies operating in the UAE, and offers over 70 participating companies the best opportunities for business growth in the region.
Al-Futtaim Motors offered comprehensive packages and tailor-made solutions that suit the needs of its various SME customers across many industries at the summit.
Described as the fastest growing department within Al-Futtaim Motors, the Toyota SME team has been registering continuous growth over the past three years, said a statement.
It recorded 27 per cent growth last year, due to the many new vehicles that were launched, offering excellent fuel economy, the lowest total cost of ownership and the highest resale value in the market.
The Corolla, which has a great appeal among SMEs, registered a substantial growth of 66 per cent in the SME sales in 2013 compared to the previous year.
In the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment, Hilux pick-up saw a staggering sales increase of 102 per cent in the first quarter of 2014.
