Jenson Button chooses Rolls-Royce for leisure

Manama, April 13, 2014

British Formula One World Champion Jenson Button swapped his single-seat track car for a refined and luxurious Rolls-Royce Ghost supplied by Euro Motors, the sole dealer of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Bahrain, to enjoy some time off in the kingdom during the recent Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix weekend.

Button, who won the Bahrain GP in 2009 and was also crowned Formula 1 World Champion in the same year, chose the luxury British marque’s pinnacle range of motor cars to transport him in style and luxury while abroad during the 2014 Formula One season and will use Rolls-Royce cars for 10 of this year’s Grand Prix events.

The racing driver handpicked a Madeira Red Rolls-Royce Ghost from Euro Motors Bahrain for his personal use to tour around Sakhir, Riffa and Manama earlier this month.

During upcoming race weekends he will have the choice of other vehicles such as the Phantom Drophead Coupé and Wraith to ensure he always travels in the pinnacle of automotive luxury. As a long-time admirer of the brand, he will enjoy the best of British luxury while travelling abroad this season, said a statement.

Button said: “I am absolutely delighted to be accompanied by the very best in British luxury as I travel the world this year.  I especially look forward to driving Wraith, a fantastic addition to the Rolls-Royce fleet and quite simply a stunning car to look at and drive.”

Paul Yates, general manager of Euro Motors, said: “The Bahrain Grand Prix is the highlight of the kingdom’s automotive and social calendar and we were very excited to have Jenson, one of the best British drivers of his generation, take to the wheel of one of our Rolls-Royce cars to go about his day. His presence around Bahrain created a real buzz amongst racing fans and automotive enthusiasts and we are happy that we could facilitate his travel around the kingdom in style."

Richard Carter, director communications Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, added: “We feel privileged to provide a British icon with the consummate British car as he travels the world during the 2014 Grand Prix season.  Jenson Button's commitment to success echoes Rolls-Royce’s constant pursuit of perfection; we look forward to following his achievements and wish him much luck.” - TradeArabia News Service
