Riyadh traffic abuse arrests top 2,350 last week

A total of 2,357 motorists were arrested in Riyadh last week over a variety of traffic violations, including the use of mobile phones while driving, speeding beating and not honouring traffic lights, a report said.

The Riyadh Traffic Department (RTD) has also arrested 38 drifters and 78 people who created fan crowding added the Arab News report.

The traffic department registered 25,395 traffic violations during the week, the report said, citing the RTD weekly report.
