Renault Mideast records 44pc sales growth

DUBAI, January 23, 2015

French automaker has recorded a 44 per cent increase in sales in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Levant last year, compared to the previous year.

It has also exceeded overall market performance which is approximately eight per cent in the GCC and 4.3 per cent in the Levant, said a statement.

Hakim Bouthera, Middle East director, said: "The soaring success of Renault in the region is the result of better awareness and desirability of the brand. Major investments have been made through our dealership network to enhance the region's coverage and get closer to our valuable customers.

“Additionally, as a smart-buy, the Duster continues to be an engine of growth in the Region, with customers looking for the best value for money in the market".

In the UAE, sales were up 39 per cent in Dubai and four per cent in Abu Dhabi, while Saudi Arabia saw a 63 per cent performance in the market, up 11.8 per cent, said the statement.

Meanwhile, Qatar saw a 10 per cent increase in sales, while Lebanon and Jordan recorded an eight per cent increase above that of their market, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
