Oman’s National Automotive Higher Institute (Nahi) will begin tomorrow (August 9) registration of Omani school graduates for its various programmes.

The registration will be open until August 30. The first semester will commence its foundation programme in September.

Nahi offers diploma and advanced diploma certificates and provides state of the art educational and training programmes that are in line with latest international technologies in the field of automotive. The programmes offer theoretical and practical technical education as well as interpersonal skills required for developing the workforce in the automotive field. Furthermore, the institute will award diploma programmes and other educational programmes in the form of training courses.

The diploma programmes at Nahi consist of engineering studies (light vehicle service & maintenance, heavy vehicle service & maintenance, vehicle body repair and vehicle painting) as well as business studies (sales and marketing, spare parts management, and customer services). The programmes offered by the institute are certified and based on high quality international education standards.

“We would like to congratulate our students on their graduation from schools and embarking on a new educational journey. We are pleased to invite those interested in the automotive industry to seize the opportunity to acquire the skills & knowledge and register with us to ensure professional success and a promising career path,” said Haji bin Faqeer Al-Balushi, general manager at the National Automotive Higher Institute.

“Major car dealerships in the country have affiliated with the Royal Court Affairs after coordinating with all stakeholders to found this institute and provide all its basic requirements in order to commence its services offered to young Omanis who are looking forward to join this field. We aim to see this institute bring an added value to the vital automotive specializations in which Omanis can excel and master if they get adequate and effective training,” added Al Balushi.

Nahi will admit 390 students by September to start their educational journey with a foundation programme. Nahi is affiliated with the Institute of Motor Industry (IMI) and City & Guilds (C&G) to conduct Diploma and Advanced Diploma programmes, competency based training, and various short courses.
