All new Kia Rio: Combining advanced technologies
and driver-centric design

Al Majid unveils all-new Kia Rio in UAE

DUBAI, August 3, 2017

Kia Motors, through its sole UAE distributor Al Majid Motors, has announced the highly anticipated arrival of its all-new Kia Rio.

In its fourth generation, the popular B-segment vehicle has been redesigned to appeal to a wider audience than ever before – from its striking new look and class-leading practicality, to an improved ride and greater safety credentials.

Mohammed Khader, president of Al Majid Motors – Kia, said: “The Kia Rio is an extremely popular vehicle – it accounts for 15 per cent of Kia’s annual sales and is the company’s second best-selling model globally, representing an entry point to Kia ownership for hundreds of thousands of buyers around the world. We are pleased to be offering our UAE customers the opportunity to discover the all-new model, which meets the needs and desires of a wider range of buyers by combining a range of advanced technologies with driver-centric design.”

The Kia Rio’s progressive new exterior design is defined by straight lines and smooth surfacing, giving the car a distinctive new look and more mature character that can be enhanced with the choice of 10 exterior finishes and two different aluminium alloy wheel designs.

The interior has also been redesigned to offer one of the most spacious cabins and highest cargo capacities (325 litres) in the B-segment, while incorporating a range of advanced technologies including Kia’s new infotainment system, which is accessed via a ‘floating’ HMI with a 5.0 inch touch-screen audio system and six speakers.

The all-new Kia Rio also features keyless entry and ignition, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, heated and electrically-controlled door mirrors, a tilting and sliding sunroof, automatic window, a rear park assist system, and a reversing camera with dynamic guidelines.

By increasing the fuel tank capacity by two litres and upping the proportion of Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) used in the body, the all-new Kia Rio provides customers with both an improved driving range and greater safety credentials. The new model, which is available with either a 1.6 or 1.4-litre engine, has also been overhauled to offer more agile handling and steering response, and a more compliant suspension system, improving the ride for both drivers and passengers.

The all-new Kia Rio is available now starting from Dh49,900 ($13,580), providing customers with a class-leading option in the hotly-contested B segment with 5 Years or 150,000 km, whichever occurs first’  manufacturer’s warranty. – TradeArabia News Service
