McLaren announces new brand centre in Bahrain

MANAMA, April 3, 2019

McLaren Automotive, the British creator of luxury sportscars and supercars, celebrated the 2019 Bahrain Grand Prix with the announcement of the McLaren Bahrain Tower, its upcoming brand centre located in the Middle East region.

The McLaren Bahrain Tower is situated by the entrance to the Bahrain International Circuit and with a floor area of approximately 8,000 sq m across eight floors, it is set to become the brand’s third largest global facility after McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) and McLaren Production Centre (MPC).

Phase I of the development is scheduled to complete by the end of the year and will see the relocation of a regional office for McLaren Automotive’ s Middle East, Africa and Latin America division. The entire facility is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2020.

Once completed, the development will strengthen the brand’s presence in the Middle East and serve as its new regional headquarter with the potential to accommodate future business requirements in line with growth plans outlined in the Track25 business plan.

“We are honoured to conclude the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend with the announcement of the McLaren Bahrain Tower. This impressive Brand Centre will allow us to explore a number of exciting opportunities whilst enhancing our operations across the Middle East, Africa and Latin America region,” said Brett Soso, managing director, Middle East, Africa and Latin America for McLaren Automotive.

McLaren Automotive’s Middle East, Africa and Latin American region comprises 13 retail locations in 11 markets. Globally, McLaren Automotive has consistently increased its sales since formation in 2010 with a record 4,806 vehicles sold throughout 2018. As part of the company’s Track25 business plan, it will invest £1.2 billion in research and development to deliver 18 new cars or derivatives between 2018-2025, the company said. – TradeArabia News Service
