Dubai RTA lifts 2.85m riders during Eid holidays

Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that Dubai's public transit means and taxis lifted over 2.85 million riders during the Eid Al Adha holidays from July 30 to August 2.
Dubai Metro's red and green lines lifted the maximum commuters totalling 909,106, while the tram lifted 42,608 riders, said a statement from RTA.
The public buses served 715,802 commuters along with marine transport which ferried 97,131 passengers, while taxis lifted 972,868 passengers and shared mobility vehicles served 116,195 individuals, it stated.
For the Eid holidays, RTA haad made every effort to ensure the compliance with the health and preventive measures in all public transport means for the safety of both riders and staff, it added.
