Ford Direct Markets boosts Mideast leadership team with new hires

ABU DHABI, April 16, 2021

Ford Direct Markets has announced two key strategic appointments to its leadership team in the Middle East. 
 
As of April 1, Nicolas Lory has been appointed as the Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD) Director for Ford Middle East. Prior to this new position, he served as Managing Director for Middle East Lincoln Operations. 
 
In parallel, Sami Malkawi has been promoted to the role of Managing Director for Middle East Lincoln Operations replacing Lory who held the position since February last year. 
 
On the key hires, Ravi Ravichandran, Executive Director (Middle East Operations) said: "Both Lory and Malkawi have had extraordinary achievements in their tenure with Ford Motor Company."
 
"As we maintain business momentum, we are confident that they will continue to excel in their respective roles with their invaluable industry and customer knowledge," he added.
 
Lory is an automotive veteran with over 20 years of experience who has held various senior positions within the region including Ford Middle East Sales Director, Ford Customer Service Division Market Lead, and Country Manager of Sales, in Saudi Arabia. He will be reporting into PK ‘Uma’ Umashankar, Director, IMG FCSD. 
 
The Lincoln brand will now be overseen by Malkawi as Managing Director reporting to Ravi Ravichandran, Executive Director – Middle East Operations, Direct Markets.
 
Malkawi has been an integral part of the Lincoln team for the last five years who previously held the position as Lincoln Sales & Ownership Experience Director.
