Plan to expand Fujairah oil terminal

Plans for expansion of the oil terminal at Vopak Horizon Fujairah are under scrutiny, it was announced.

 

The expansion plan covers up to 1.2 million cu m and four to six additional berths, said a report in Gulf News.

 

After completion of the expansion, the oil terminal will have a capacity of 2.7 million cu m, 10-12 berths capable of handling vessels up to 175,000 dwt, enabling Vopak Horizon Fujairah to improve its hub function in the Middle East for black and clean mineral oil products.

 

The expansion is planned for the north side of the terminal and its conceptual design has already started.
