Bahrain boosts oil output

Daily production of crude oil at Bahrain Oilfield reached 33,000 barrels during the first nine months of the year, Oil and Gas Affairs Minister and National Oil and Gas Authority (Noga) chairman Dr Abdulhussain Mirza has said.

Abu Sa'afa oilfileld produced 150,000 barrels per day, an increase of 0.7 per cent compared to the same period last year. Crude imported from Saudi Arabia reached 220,000 barrels daily.

The authority said Bapco's average daily production from January to September dropped by 4.1 per cent to 256,000 barrels from 267,000 barrels in the same period last year.

Local daily sales rose by 0.4 per cent to 24,000 barrels, up from 24,648 barrels last year, Noga said.

Natural gas outpout reached 409 billion cubic feet, at a daily average of 1.497 billion cubic feet, up from 1.491 billion cubic feet.-TradeArabia News Service
