A proposal by parliament chairman Khalifa Al Dhahrani to review gas subsidies provided to 27 private companies and six public sector investment companies has been approved by the financial and economic committee.

The gas revenues amounted to BD602 million ($1596.7 million) last year and had it been sold at international prices, the revenues would have been much more, Akhbar Al Khaleej reported.-TradeArabia News Service
